Finally! It’s OUR Turn!!
Hello everyone in Blipland!! We are two of the geese at the egg farm! Heidi came to buy eggs today. Even though there are 5000 hens here, they are not the main attraction. WE are!! Well, not just us. The farm is probably best known for the herd of reindeer who also live here. And the two rare-breed pigs. And the small herd of goats. And the 3 alpacas.
The reindeer have had LOTS of blips (here and here) but today we stuck our necks out and smiled very nicely for the camera phone, and Heidi agreed to let us have our 15 minutes of fame in Blipland today! There are a few more besides the two of us, but we’re the very friendly ones. Unlike the reindeer, we don’t have collars with our names on them, so you’ll just have to use your imagination.
If you’re ever on the A4 between Reading and Maidenhead you really should come pay us a visit. And buy some eggs, of course. Or some jam, berries, flowers, bacon, sausages, or biscuits! We sell it all! Believe it or not, we even sell reindeer poo for your garden!
See the Extra photo for some of Heidi’s other photos from today. The Reindeer weren’t too happy or sociable today - they were pacing. They probably prefer the weather in the arctic circle than the recent heat wave in the UK. The goats were snoozing in their two-storey house, but came out to say hello. The pigs were sound asleep and didn’t get their picture taken today. The alpacas are still SUPER shy and wouldn’t come to say hello. They’ve also recently had their wool shorn off and look a little naked so it’s probably best that they stay in their hut!
