Unforeseen

The only bank in town was unable to open today due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.  I suspect that having a brightly coloured woolly mammoth blocking the doorway might have been a reason, although whether it was unforeseen is debatable as it has been there for a few weeks.  It didn't affect me however; apart from when I had to arrange a large payment during our house purchase I honestly cannot remember when I last went into an actual branch of a bank.
