as long as you don't move & you stay in the shade

Fun thing about being the client is suddenly you have so many more friends and they all like you so much more than they ever seemed to before.
Fun thing about being the boss is something very similar but it's okay. You can learn a lot of valuable information from someone even if they are sucking up to you. And really, it is endearing that are trying to use gardening to bond with you even though suddenly neither of you can remember the name for any plant either of you have. It is the effort that counts.

I had an excellent day even if it was 95 degrees with a "feel" of higher.  I planted more Mitchella repens. It is the fabulous and fascinating ground cover plant that Kate suggested. It is evergreen (!!) It grows white flowers and then two of them merge together into a red berry (!!). It is native and shade tolerant so it is perfect for my woodland garden. It was used to ease childbirth and menstrual cramps. I planted 20 last year and I can find 2 or 3 now but I'm much more hopeful this time around, even planting in the heat, because the roots on these are so much longer than the ones I bought last time. It is native and wild and that means no local nurseries sell them, I bought both sets online.

The deal struck between Russia, Ukraine, the UN, and Turkey allows Ukraine to export about five million tons of grain a month, equivalent to pre-war levels. All the previous effort to ship over land and in smaller ships equalled two million metric tons. Ships will have to navigate minefields. Incoming ships will be checked to ensure they aren't smuggling military supplies. Ukraine signed the agreement with Turkey and the UN and Russia signed an agreement with Turkey and the UN, so Ukraine and Russia did not sign a deal with each other.

Ukraine is rocking the 12 HIMARS the US sent, so we're sending an additional 4. Ukraine used them last week to destroy two Russian ammo depots.

Ukraine, making beautiful use of social media, published a video called, "Final Journey of Russian Armored Vehicle Before Missile Strike." They released another one called, "Adventures of a Russian MT-LB." This is of a multi-purpose armored vehicle zipping down a road before parking in a garage. Ukraine fired a missile at the building and destroyed the MT-LB.

Ukraine is making a push in the south and in one day took out an Su-35 aircraft, three Grad systems, three Msta-B howitzers, one "carnation" howitzer, a communication vehicle, two regular vehicles, and a field artillery warehouse. Grad systems are rocket launchers. A howitzer is like a long cannon. The Su-35 is great - it is a Russian fighter jet worth $85 million per unit.  Naturally, Ukraine put a video of it falling on social media too. That video has a lot of bleeps in it, don't know why.

Russian independent television Channel TV Rain was taken off the air by Russian authorities in March because it said "war." Now it is broadcasting from Latvia.
