Earlier, heard the first of the Greylag Geese flying over. A good number will amass hereabouts over the coming weeks, from their breeding grounds on the West coast and outer isles. They come to feed on the missed or spilt barley and wheat in the harvested fields, and anything else they can find. They'll move elsewhere around the time the wintering geese from much further afield arrive.
