Strange water bird the Coorong

This morning at our campsite while I was cleaning up after breakfast I spotted this emu wading across the Coorong.
We blissed out on bird photography and walking in the National Park lands for the whole day.
We just love the Fleurieu Peninsula SA.
Witnessing huge flocks of migratory birds was like busy airport traffic.
Perfect weather today which was a bonus. Camping at Narrung tonight which is where ‘Storm Boy ‘ was filmed.
