Back Blip - filling in a few gaps in my journal

Did a recce today for a Ramblers walk I am leading next Wednesday (22nd June) in and around Bo'ness. Our route took us up to the Kinneil Estate, at the entrance to which is this sculpture (see extra for complete version). It represents, if I remember the details correctly, a buckle on a horse's harness found near the area and dating from Roman times. There's a Roman fortlet in the Kinneil Estate.

We had great weather for the recce. Same again next week would be good.
