Rock strata
A grey day and, at last, the temperature in our flat has fallen to a more comfortable level. Cool enough to consider making soup, so I made a big pan of French lentil this morning.
MrM was feeling the need to get out of the town for a while, and neither of us could face cooking (or washing up) this evening, so we decided on fish & chips by the sea. We ate in the van, overlooking the Greenses harbour, before walking along the cliff tops in to Berwick. The tide was out, exposing these amazing rock strata. We walked out to the lighthouse at the end of the pier, and strolled back to the van through the town. MrM was in need of a coffee, and we were tempted in to a bar where we stayed a while, listening to the live music. Fish & chips by the sea turned in to a rather good impromptu evening out!
