Catzilla Terrorizes NYC

Blame it on the heat but I did have fun creating this collage of "Catzilla" stalking the streets of New York City.   I was inspired by one of my favorite contemporary collagists, British artist Maria Rivans, who creates amazingly intricate collages that are a blend of surrealism and pop art.  The cutting and gluing were really a challenge in this one, especially the thin mouses tail.  Rivans is most famous for her series "Pinups", and I created one of Audrey Hepburn, my favorite actress of the "golden age" of movies, extra photo.  Our brutal heat wave continues but a friend is joining me for a "play date" in my air-conditioned studio so the collage fun continues!
