A Scruffy Jay

I'm not sure if this is a young Jay or an adult that is moulting but it's not a good look for such an attractive bird.

After the Red Arrows had to cancel yesterday's fly past due to problems with their ejector seats they were rescheduled to fly over the Bay at 10:40 this morning.  We, along with several others, climbed up Fell End to get a good viewpoint and I am told that there were quite a few on the Prom as well.  Nothing appeared at 10:40 and on returning home I discovered that they had been seen over Windermere at about 09:40 so their schedule must have been moved one hour earlier.  Therefore my blip today is a scruffy Jay rather than a flight of shiny red Hawks!
