The Three Basils

We usually buy a basil plant from the supermarket and after about three or four weeks it starts to look the worse for wear.
This year I repotted it into a bigger pot of decent compost and it has thrived.
I took a cutting and put it in water and left it in the conservatory to see if it would deter the odd fly that lurks there in summer, it seemed to work.
The cutting soon grew roots so I planted it in a pot, it has thrived along with a second one.
It has been an interesting exercise.
