Stripes and Cars

We had a nice, cloudy, and cool morning, then out came the sun in time to dry a load of laundry. 
Later, Eric's nephew, JohnNils, his partner, Meredith, their daughters, Vada (4), and Wren (1), along with their dog, Ramona, came by to drop off our red car. See Extra.
It's a picture of the red car I really should post, as it's become the Olson Family Car. Olson, as in Eric and his brothers. It's a1993 Ford Escort that belonged to Eric's father. We inherited it, but old car crazy as the Olsons are, and as many as they have, it's this car that gets picked and passed around whenever an extra car is needed. It's roomy, easy to drive, always available, and is great for picking up a niece and her kids from the airport, or when a niece needed a car for frequent trips up the Gorge while her father was so ill, or like the other day when JohnNils and Meredith's car gave out and they needed something until buying another. 
It was nice to see them today; this car borrowing thing is a great way to get company.
