Week 17

.. of 26 in the butterfly surveying year, and still a little disappointing. This week’s weather is going to be difficult to call, so I thought I’d get my survey done at Longshaw today (day 2 of the week). It was a little overcast, but relatively calm and pleasantly warm. so a couple of dozen recorded - mostly Gatekeepers, but a couple of Skippers, a few Ringlets and some Small Heaths here enjoying an intimate moment on the heather, which is just starting to bloom.
