Change of plan.

We have been so looking forward to the visit today from J and M, our son and his wife. I wanted to make it a special lunch so I set the table with the best chjna , glasses and cutlery, and used this set of place mats that I embroidered many years ago. However, it was such a lovely day that in the end we ate rather less formally, out in the garden. We had a lovely leisurely catch up, with news of the family and the new baby that is on the way, and stories about their weekend in Paris.
Sad not to use my beautifully prepared table. Maybe they will come again soon.
