Thanks for all the nice comments yesterday. It was quite a shock and lots to process, for S too who was with us. I was reminded how I tend to panic in emergencies and Cannon is as cool as a cucumber and very rational. We’ve had lots of chats with S about what she saw, luckily it’s not her first experience of death and we are very open with her in conversation and answering her 4 year old questions.

A nice day today, S had a friend over and I did lots of cooking. This evening we all went over to my auntie’s for a little family gathering so S could play with her 1 year old cousin (my cousin’s daughter, I’m not sure what the proper name for that is, maybe cousin once removed).
