Rooted Ball

If schools can have ‘end of year’ balls, then so can youth groups. And my colleague Tim did an amazing job organising it. The kids dressed up smart. There was a BBQ, a Silent Disco, a Photo Booth and it was great.

I helped EmCoops on the food/kitchen front. I’m so glad to have been involved.

We rather over-did the salad front. We made a Greek salad, thinking that perhaps, just maybe, some would eat it and it’d look like a nice addition. It was nice and some did eat it, but most of them just wanted meat, rolls, crisps and cucumber.

Ah well. I’ll enjoy eating the leftovers. And I made way too much dressing. Oops.

Work today was stupid busy too as Youth Camp (aka Connect) is next week. Lots and lots to do.
