The Daughter of Time

Our book group read this month was an odd one - for me at least. I missed getting to the last meeting due to a snow storm, so I hadn't worked out quite why we were reading this particular one.

As Richard III has recently been discovered buried beneath a car park, choosing a book about how history misrepresents his personal story was probably well-timed. The device of using a 1950s detective story to investigate it was odd, but one of our number had researched this and found it was one of a series of novels using a similar device.

For me, I was pretty lost in the maze of Royal relationships and the brutality of the time.
