Handover

Finally got Mum home again as she’d stayed on in Edinburgh because of the heatwave and us not wanting her to travel on public transport with all the uncertainties.  C&S were going to visit friends near Didcot so I set off there to pick her up.   I told her on the way home that in Jane Austen’s time relatives went for a proper stay and not a weekend dash.  She certainly had a lovely time @xtoph1.  The drive back was lovely, the trees richly green, the fields gold with wheat.  Surely they must harvest soon?

Got home in time to water the plants and then V cooked a lovely supper which we ate outside.
