‘Our information is that the whole gang, and I do mean the whole gang, will be at ‘Dotty’s Baps Café’ at 3pm. Our informant is 100% reliable and this is as big as it gets.’

DI Jackie Collins had her whole team in front of her plus the Chief Super plus Clive who would be leading as ever the units SFO team.

‘Seems a bit obvious boss for a major gangland meet doesn’t it?’ DC Jones piped in.

‘That’s the point.’ replied DI Jackie Collins. ‘It’s super busy, no security cameras and they will all feel safer here than any ‘private’ venue. It’s full of normal punters who haven’t got a clue who this lot are and the food is great isn’t it! I mean who here hasn’t had a cheeky bacon bap at Dotty’s?’

The room nodded.

‘The tea is spot on,’ said the Chief Super.

‘A waffle to die for,’ added Clive.

‘Love her baps,’ said DS Blakey.

‘So,’ continued Jackie, ‘they will all be there but we can’t storm the building as it’s always full of punters too. This is a meet to pick up suitcases of cash. A pay off gathering. What we need to do is film it and then pick them up later.’

‘Haddaway man, why are we all there Jackie love?’ asked Clive in his thick geordie accent.

‘Sorry?’ asked DI Collins who could rarely understand a word Clive said. It made special ops with weapons an even more hazardous business.

‘Clive is asking why are we all there Jackie if we are picking them all off later?’ offered the Chief Super helpfully.

‘Right. Thanks boss. Good question Clive. We need to all be there in case something goes wrong.’

The room nodded in ‘ah we see’ motion.

The scene was set. Tomorrow Lady Boss Collins intended to get her man and a whole host of other undesirables too!
