Chillin

Lovely first day of the holiday. Hot tub first thing, chatting, coffee drinking, exploring the barn, playing billiards, darts and pool. We had a big salad for lunch then headed off to Holt for a wander. I bought a posh pair of sunglasses since I’m sick of having nasty ones that I buy in case I lose them but somehow end up having for years…just hope I don’t lose or ruin these ones!
Lovely to wander around and have a delicious gelato and later some tea and shortbread in the cottage garden tearoom…..nice to know places to revisit.
It was warm but with a nice breeze and a few little clouds every now and again so perfect for wandering.
Introduced Paisley to Higgs and although it started with fireworks we gradually got to a better place with them…may even be able to share the room one day!
Had an easy pizza dinner after more hot tub time and played UNO as is traditional on holidays!
Through the day we were getting updates on Diesel (taken by the Dogs Trust at lunchtime) and after T had done that he collected stuff from the house to take to P in hospital, we weren’t getting great info from the hospital themselves but T said he seemed perkier, whilst not always talking sense, but is certainly more comfortable which is a relief.
