The John Buchan Way Part 1

The view from the seat at the top of the pass from Broughton on our way to Stobo. The walk was enjoyable and a bit long, but that was because we got lost, as is almost mandatory on our walks. We walked to Stobo Castle instead of Stobo Kirk a distinction that added at least a couple of kms at the end of the day but at least it stayed dry and wasn’t cold. I was a bit knackered by the time I got back to the car at Broughton and came within a whisker of getting very bad cramp whilst changing my shoes at the car but given my fitbit was indicating 38716 steps (26.4km) only getting a bit of cramp was not a bad result for the distance walked.
