Desert

As much as I love the hot weather, if not the daily watering, one of the best things about the British climate is supposed to be the variety. A couple of weeks of sun ( cue hosepipe ban warnings), two weeks of torrential rain (cue flash flooding), followed by two weeks of grey (cue "I almost put my heating on") And repeat. This year it's all been a bit same old same old.

This is another bit of local parkland, completely dry and desert like. There was a fire engine there about an hour later but I hadn't seen anything while I was walking round. Good thing, any fire would quickly have spread.
