EGRETS, I'VE HAD A FEW

There was a pair of Great White Egrets at RSPB Saltholme today when B and I popped into the "proper" birders' hide. The sound of all the shutters going was so loud that it was probably a good thing they were over the other side of the water (hence the somewhat blurry quality of this photo). It's my main blip because I liked the dancing elegance of it. The extra shows both the Large Egrets as well as a Little Egret, which shows the size difference quite well.

Oh, and apparently this is my 11 year milestone. I thought that was going to be tomorrow. I'd have tried to focus a bit better if I'd realised. I have absolutely no egrets about joining Blipfoto all that time ago and belonging to this great community. Thanks so much to the team and to all you lovely Blippers, both those I've met in real life and those I haven't but hope to some time. xxxx
