Sniffy Sunday

in a brief break between thunder showers this avo I picked some sweet peas and popped them in this old Cornish Lamorna Pottery mug my grandmother used to have in her Penzance home, where we stayed most summers as children. She was a prolific painter, and I associate some very happy July memories of her with fragrances like sweet pea or lily of the valley, mixed with the oils and turps of her work.
