Today's the day ...................... for sweet peas

It's been an absolutely wonderful summer for sweet peas - that fill the air with their sweet fragrance.

I did grow some in the greenhouse from seed that I had collected from last year.  But they seem to be doing the job themselves in the garden - and have just appeared as if by magic, all over the place.  I actually had to prune lots of them back today - for their own good, you understand?!  It did feel very mean to cut back all that new growth.

Hopefully though, it will give them a new lease of life and they will carry on producing those sweet-scented flowers even longer ....................
