Looking back
I spent the morning absorbed by a file of memorabilia I found while searching for a tape measure to ensure that the new fridge will fit the space the current one occupies. It requires defrosting every few weeks, and the freezer bit leaks. I reckon by 9 August when the replacement one is due I should have eaten it’s contents.
There is no year date on the newspaper clipping, I think it would be have been about 1937. I hardly recognise my father in law, the earliest photo I have seen is my parents in law wedding a couple of years later. I knew he had worked in the shipyards but I hadn’t realised it was in Burntisland.
One of the conversations yesterday was about Burntisland Fairground. I bet he took time out to enjoy the fastest rides.
