One lone Poppy ......

...... growing in one of the Kingsbarns that we visited this afternoon.
It was much warmer than expected and just a bit too windy ..... the flowers certainly weren't going to stand still for me. This little Poppy was growing in a rather protected and overgrown area behind some well tended, raised vegetable beds.

Took L back to Elie and then I headed home via the quite magnificent Queensferry Crossing which was remarkably quiet for a change.
