Sunday: Flowers and Potatoes

Rain first thing then it cleared.
MrD went on his electric bike mid-morning whilst I did some family history.
I had a bit of a wander around the garden - some of my favourite plants are flowering now: yellow evening primrose on the left next to very large ox-eyed daisies, purple flowers of teasels behind them; 2 plants with yellow flowers near the centre are Inula https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2866418645905443729 - like dainty sunflowers, loved by the pollinators and seeds for birds in the autumn and winter plus the slugs don’t seem to like eating them!!
In the colander are the last of my home grown potatoes, just left over ones from the kitchen - these poor things had very little soil to grow in, even less water - the foliage had withered and I wasn’t expecting to see any potatoes. MrD bought some Anglesey new potatoes to go with them and they were delicious for tea :-)
Gale force winds all afternoon and this evening …
