Towards Hathersage

I have been finishing the floor at son John's house in Sheffield today. Whilst there I took my car into the Mercedes dealers for a service. I only take it there as with a full service history, if I breakdown abroad or in the UK, Mercedes will organise everything free of charge. e.g collect the car, pay for a hotel until the car is repaired etc. Not that I expect this car to breakdown, but it is jolly useful and I have used them a couple of times over the years.

On collection of the car, they gave me a list of items that need repairing. A puncture couldn't be repaired, new tyre needed. New wheel bearings. Funny, these were new one month ago at my local garage for the MOT. I watched them do it. New number plates? New wiper blades.

I somehow don't think I will go back and the service was over £400!! The car is not very old either.

Anyway, on the way home, it looked like it was going to be a glorious sunset later in about two hours. The light was lovely so I stopped to snap this view towards Hathersage.

The sunset didn't happen, the sky turned black!!
