Great Location

Hydrangeas are very happy on the Oregon Coast unless they are planted where the wind and sea affect them. This bush is in our back yard, protected from wind and too much sun. The color of the flowers changes as they mature; they eventually become pretty blue color.

We worked in the yard all day; we pruned several bushes and trees, then I pulled weeds. We left a big pile of branches in the driveway; they must be hauled to the compost area at the city dump sometime soon. We hope to find someone to do that for us, but we can fill the back of the pickup and haul it ourselves if necessary. My husband says he is going back to the beach in a few days, but I won't go back over until next Sunday.

We usually drive home before dark, but today we didn't even leave the beach house until 9:30 PM. I didn't enjoy the windy road at night; I am glad my husband drove us safely home.

Now I am off to bed.
