Mayburgh

Another splendid day with a little potpourri of activities.
We walked up to Acorn Bank and had a lovely walk around ... there’s always so much to look at in the ever changing seasons and even from week to week. We were absorbed into the medicinal walled gardens, wandered along the avenues of apples, watched the beekeepers at work, searched amongst the lilies for great crested newts, had a coffee and pastry in the courtyard, watched the waterwheel turn the grindstone milling the flour, gazed hopefully for otters and kingfishers along the river and then meandered back ...breaking into a final sprint as we approach home and the heavens opened.

Then B kindly helped me shift the compost and bin from old home (still unvisited by landlord after over 6 months ... and still no deposit) to new home with a short detour via Mayburgh where B was well spooked out!
