The Leat...

.. Bryntail lead mines, Llyn Clywedog, Mid Wales. 

The three amigos (Me with my dicky ticker, Mrs I with her gammy knees, and Hollie dog with a dodgy leg) made our way down to the ruinous but fascinating remains of the Bryntail lead mine, situated below the mighty dam at Clywedog in Mid Wales.

We have visited several times before but it is always worth a visit for the history, interest and sheer drama of the surroundings. The dam is the highest concrete dam in the UK and is an impressive sight from any angle (1st extra) 

And the fine tea and cake at the wonderful Caffi Clywedog where there is a viewing balcony and comfy chairs. (2nd extra) 

What more could one ask for, it was great!
