Little Duck

Most of the little river ducklings in my local park are taking on the coloration of a hybrid bibbed Mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) as they get older. None of them have the typical Mallard plumage.

We did get some rain over the weekend, but I don’t think it was enough to change our drought situation. The river remains low, and brown lawns are now widespread.
