It Is A Love/Hate Thing

I love Lignum Vitae (the lid).
I hate Mahogany (the body).

One turns beautifully and needs no finish.
The other doesn't and definitely does.

Unfortunately it was my last piece of one and not the other.

I didn't intend on making the box - but as I (just about) finished the tidying up, I was trapped in the garage by the monsoon that descended.
Since yesterday the water level in the pond has raised by an inch and a half.
