Check

I spent a little time in the garden this morning, cutting back shrubs and spied this out of the corner of my eye on one of the acers.  Of course I had to “check” again to see whether my eyes were deceiving me, but they weren’t.  It’s a Jersey Tiger Moth.  I wish I could catch it in flight because it has beautiful red/orange underskirts.

This afternoon we’ve been out to dinner to celebrate our son’s partner’s fiftieth birthday.
