Pigeons

Juno alerted us to something in the vines. Turns out to be a nesting pigeon. As with every creature that enters our garden, Juno is outraged as the audacity of the pigeons. However with a few treats and the ‘leave’ command she has accepted the pigeon’s presence. Pigeon nests are sparse and the egg/s will be balanced on top of the pergola. I will have to hold off trimming that part of the vines. Apparently the reason you never see fledgling pigeons is because by the time they leave the ‘nest’ they are virtually same size as their parents.
