Cautious optimism

Today is a significant day, the first sitting day of the new Parliament, and government has switched from the right to the progressive centre. That doesn’t happen very often – this is only the third such switch since I have lived in Australia.

The new government faces a horrific list of crises – Climate change, Covid, Inflation, Cost of living… We remain cautiously optimistic.
