Bitter Chocolate

This was our book club book for this month. The author, Carol Off, is a Canadian journalist and conducted a mountain of research for the book. Much of this research was interviewing people at significant personal danger.
The book looks at the chocolate industry and the way those with power abuse it. This abuse is both illegally and within the law. Carol suggests that those in power are not only the large corporations but also consumers who assume that the cheapest price is also the fair price.
After reading this book I will be extremely selective in what chocolate I will buy.
