The Golden Gates

These Golden Gates were made in Berlin in 1870 and were  re-gilded, restored and re-hung in 2015..  They are A listed and have a fascinating history .

They stand at  what was the Glen Massan entrance to Benmore House, now of course part of Benmore Botanic Gardens,  in Cowal. 

I was in the Glen this morning but surprisingly  had never blipped them before. .
