Busy bees

We were busy bees today getting ready for, and holding, Peter's memorial service. 
It all went very well. Robin wrote and read out a wonderful tribute to his Dad and our friend David, a minister who knew Peter, conducted a lovely service. All of Peter's neighbours and friends attended including three of the staff from the cafe where he had his coffee twice a week. Several of our friends came too, to support us, and  I cannot tell you how much that helped us get through the day. Clare and Caroline, our friends the florists, also donated the beautiful floral tribute and many gave donations to the British Heart Foundation. 
It was a really special service and Peter would have loved every minute of it, including the tea with scones and cake which was served to everyone afterwards.
