Difficult day!
My daughter had to have a ‘sleep deprived EEG’ today. This involved staying awake all last night and attending hospital in the morning where they attached electrodes to her head and measured her brain activity. She was allowed to lie down and sleep for 40 mins whilst they didi this. She then had to wait for hospital transport to take her home. She had a night carer for company during the night to support her and they somehow got through it with playing games , going outside for air etc. I took over at 9:00 am and supported her at the hospitals on return to her flat. She was utterly exhausted by the end of it, we should get he results later in the week and have our fingers tightly crossed for no unpleasant news! Her body pain is exacerbated following lack of sleep and having to sit in her wheelchair for 16 hrs solid, during night and hospital visit. We hope that this will settle!
Since returning home I have done very little! However old your children are you still feel their pain and wish you could take all the unpleasantness life throws at them away!
Picture is of Charlie cat, on my knee chilling!
