Dry

Apart from the record breaking temperatures last week, it is reported that the first 6 months of this year have been the driest in the UK since 1976.  This shows in the dried grass in the park (which was almost deserted this afternoon) and the evidence of early harvesting of crops by farmers,  We are being asked to be careful with our use of water, and there is the real risk of compulsory water restrictions if the dry weather continues into August.
