Yuccas in one of the gardens that I started working on this summer.
The homeowner lives outside the province but this is the house where she grew up and when her mother passed away, she left it to her daughter. She decided to keep the house so she could have it as her retirement home in another 10 years. Her mother created a lot of gardens on the property. The gardens have been neglected for a couple of years, of course it is hard to find good tenants who want to garden.  The first tenants ended up trashing the place and moving out without notice. Fortunately they did leave, too many will stay and live there without paying rent. The current tenants have not been there very long, at least that was my impression. They have given their notice, they are leaving on August 20.
The homeowner was here this weekend for a family reunion, so we met today at the property. We had a discussion about me moving in to the house. When the tenants move out, then I will have first choice for viewing the property. If I like the inside, I may be moving by October 1.
There may be some negotiating on the rent, maybe a discount for looking after the gardens. I would still want to bring my team in to do some of the heavier work.
