Red

In my local area one can still find a fair amount of art deco architecture. Some buildings are glamorous and ornate, like the Enmore Theatre, while others are modest like this factory. I feel certain that this 'tribute to red' does not reflect its original colour and I'm glad that the central vertical lines, symbolic of the glorious optimism of the 1920s, have been painted white so we can see them. Not even the bars on the windows were spared the red treatment.

I'm accustomed to the colour on this building now. To me it's one of those it's-so-bad-it's-good things.

Today is also a red letter day here. Note the cloudless blue sky. No rain today and none forecast for tomorrow. Yay!
