Berries to jelly
Blackberries grow wild on Tates land in the mountains. He helped me to pick two quarts before we left to come home so that I could make jelly.
Finally feeling up to driving to the store for SureJell and lids for the jars. I let the berries simmer in the pot for a couple of hours to get all the best juice out. Then strained in a cheesecloth to get rid of seeds and pulp.
Hoping I did not mess up this recipe and we have blackberry jelly and not blackberry syrup!
