The Salad Bar

It's a race between me and the deer to get to the new blooms first. You snooze, you loose. Too often I have arrived late to find only a stalk remains.

I don't know why, but they rarely seem to have multiple flowers on the same stem. Maybe it's like a firework display going off one after another.

A shallow depth of field helped to isolate the main flower from those behind, even though they are the same colour I think it worked. The greens are so vibrant at the moment, I had to tone them down.
