Lepidoptera

The moth trap went out last night and I captured a respectable tally, including this fine Poplar Hawk Moth. This afternoon, I went out to do a butterfly count on my patch, and was pleased to see a Painted Lady and a Wall Brown along with good numbers of Gatekeepers, Meadow Browns and Ringlets.
