The Red Wine Aisle
I was 'released' from Physical Therapy yesterday and pronounced much stronger. I had my doubts last night when I woke up in the middle of the night sore everywhere, but went to Pilates this morning and, lo and behold, I did feel much stronger...
Our son Matthew is here for a few days, primarily because it is John's birthday. Jim and Dana are making dinner tonight and Tim and Joni and the kids will be joining us on Saturday for further celebrations....It's been a long time since we've had all our kids (and quite a few of their kids) together to celebrate anything....It will be fun.
We went to the wine shop this afternoon and it always amazes me how many varieties and wineries there are. It's a fairly big store, and has quite a few European vineyards represented, but still...how do they manage to survive? And how would we survive without wine? Being a label freak, I enjoyed wandering down the endless aisles looking at the labels ranging from the traditional Loire Valley chateau labels to the off the wall 'critter wine' labels (ones with some kind of animal on them), to the downright doubtful. The prices range from hundreds of dollars a bottle to as low as $8 or 9. Even our local supermarkets have large wine sections here in wine country....
