Raspberry-chocolate sandwich cookies, oh my

I think the name sounds better in German: Spitzbuben. Isabelle baked them today for William's birthday (at his very hopeful request), a couple days belatedly. She found this recipe awhile back and made them with my mom out in Bellevue at Christmas one year, and they're W's favorite.
