Driving home for Christmas.

Thankfully, it wasn't like this the whole way up. Under 6 hours for Hampshire to County Durham isn't too bad for a Friday afternoon. I did want to take a THE NORTH road sign. I always find them rather comforting, if a little elusive/evasive/deceptive illusory* as of chasing the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

And then an evening obliterated by wine, curry and talking way into the early hours. No wonder I can't think of the right words this morning.

Still at least we've a few hours to recover before more family arrive for "Christmas" this afternoon. Well if the Aussies can have Yulefest in July, why can't we have Christmas in April?! The last few attempts have been wiped out by snow and then coordinating diaries proved ridiculously difficult.
