Small Copper
With the forecast for a better afternoon we delayed our walk to the afternoon.
It's a completely different atmosphere around 4pm. Much quieter as mot folks are heading home and the gardens just seem calmer.
We walked our 2 circuits and in the grassland area I had the opportunity to photograph this Small Copper butterfly. It was quite happily feeding on the ragwort along with the Cinnabar Moth caterpillars. And it hardly moved for ages. A perfect subject for macro photography!
